Kumeyaay Language Institute
- Preserve and foster the Kumeyaay Language
- Follow direction given by Elders during Elder Round Table Discussions
- Approve Curriculum to be taught in Kumeyaay 1 and Kumeyaay 2
- Write the Courses of Study to be followed
- Decide on Teaching Methodology to be used
- Recruit Future Teachers
- Teach and evaluate Apprentice Teachers
- Continue dialogue with Tribal Elders in order to further develop curriculum and better prepare Teachers
